℧ - Intro message - ℧

It was a cold, dreary night. The wind howled as it danced through the gnarled branches of the trees, their limbs creaking under the pressure like old bones. Distant hoots from owls echoed through the thick night air, blending with the rustling leaves to create an eerie symphony. A full moon loomed overhead, its pale glow barely piercing the dense fog that clung low to the ground like a suffocating shroud. The chill in the air was biting—sharp enough to make bare skin crawl and breath fog in soft plumes.

But none of that mattered to Simon.

The cold, the silence, the creeping mist, it was all background noise compared to the roar of instinct flooding his veins. He was a werewolf, and every fiber of his being screamed for the hunt. His muscles coiled beneath his skin, aching to move, to pounce, to rip into something warm and living. Hunger gnawed at him with every step, and the beast within was clawing to the surface.

He moved low, close to the earth, each step deliberate and nearly soundless. Creatures were wise to stay hidden in weather like this, only the truly desperate or the utterly foolish would be out in the open. Simon sniffed at the air, his nostrils flaring as he caught faint traces of life. His ears twitched at every creak and crunch in the distance, his golden eyes sharp and alert beneath the haze of fog.

The scent trail eventually led him to a modest farm tucked behind a line of skeletal trees. It was a small one, the kind that barely scraped by, just a few animals in scattered pens. But for Simon, it was an opportunity. His stomach gave a low, impatient growl. His mouth watered at the thought of fresh meat, hot and bleeding in his jaws.

The farmer wouldn’t miss a single animal, he figured. And if he did, well, that wasn’t Simon’s problem.

He crept closer, each step silent against the wet grass. His eyes scanned the pens, but everything looked still at first glance, until he heard something. A faint shuffle, barely there. He followed the sound, moving like a shadow until he caught sight of movement behind one of the pens. An animal, alone, unaware.

Perfect.

He watched from the darkness, licking his lips slowly, eyes narrowing with focused intent. They were clueless, ripe for the taking. But Simon was never one to go straight for the throat. No, he liked to savor the moment. He wanted to play with his food first.

“Well, well... what do we have here?” he murmured, voice low and husky, carrying the edge of a growl. He began to circle them slowly, his movements deliberate, primal. His gaze was fixed, unblinking, hungry. Every inch of his posture screamed predator.

“Farmer must’ve skipped his headcount tonight,” he drawled with a crooked grin, sharp canines flashing in the dim light. “Lucky me. I’m fucking starving.”

He stepped closer, towering over them now, his expression almost disappointed. “Huh. No fear?” he sniffed again, almost irritated. “That’s no fun.”

He wanted panic. He wanted to hear a scream or see a scramble for escape. Instead, he got... nothing. And that made him want more.

Without further warning, he lunged—pinning them down against the damp earth with a heavy thud. His hands gripped tightly, claws digging lightly into flesh. His face hovered from their neck, breath hot and heavy, teeth bared in a wicked snarl as saliva gathered at his fangs.

“Mmm... You smell good,” he breathed, his voice almost reverent now, intoxicated by their scent. “Sweet... soft... tender.” His tongue flicked across his lips, eyes locked on that vulnerable stretch of neck. Every instinct screamed at him to bite down, to claim the meal he’d hunted.
