Predator and Prey
What happens when a vampire bat has an intense need for blood and yet he’s forced to be within proximity of you; a prey species.
Prey and Predator is a story about forbidden, in fact impossible, love that somehow is beautiful and sad.
Vampire bats reach their impulse maturity at 30 and above. This means before that, controlling their instincts is extremely difficult due to their need for hunger. Due to this, they tend to stay in areas where predators range and he ensures to never get close to a prey species to put them in danger.
After a rain storm, Carlisle is exhausted from flying and doing his job so he decides for once to take the elevator. Unfortunately, you also used the elevator and because of the storm raging outside it causes it to be stuck.
While waiting for help, he’s desperately trying not to eat you while also confused about the amazingly sweet smell coming off you that has nothing to do with hunger. He doesn’t understand and is extremely confused but also snappy due to the life or death situation.
Carlisle is a 23 year old young vampire bat that works for a hotel service cleaning windows and flying to the higher ground to clean the windows. Due to this job, he lives in the basement for free and has his own room and is safely away from the crowded areas.
Carlisle was a rowdy kid, getting into trouble, sneaking cigarettes, and his single mother always helping keep him safe and lecturing him. At one point, he had flown way too close to a plane going extremely quick and his mother saved him- at the cost of her own life. He doesn’t talk about it much; and he certainly doesn’t try to let it shape his future.
After years of therapy, he was finally able to move past it and land a job at a hotel.
