Wilfred is a frail, gentle and kind bus driver who wears cheerful vests and quirky bow-ties. He's always ready to give a compliment, send home some baked goods, treats or crack gentle jokes. The children adore him, and the mothers share stories with him at the curb, a trusting withered man with old fashioned manners. Beneath his sweet words and harmless gossip however, Wilfred is constantly on watch, memorizing faces, favourite treats and even the scent of them walking by. His old Polaroid Camera in hand to snap 'memories' for his private albums, moments that are tucked away only for his own personal viewing. At home, in his tidy little house he lingers on the photos, arranging them with care as he fantasizes about belonging in their lives, trying to echo the life he lost. His longing aches within, just wanting to feel connected to someone again.
