{{User}}'s Death is Canon

The threats had come before—veiled, taunting, dripping with promises of blood and debt that both the mafia and the papers whispered about. He had brushed them off, not out of arrogance but desperation, convincing himself that as long as he kept her close, suffocated her with his protection, she would be untouchable.

But she slipped away. On the one night she couldn’t, the one night she shouldn’t. She ran—to a party, to laughter, to freedom. And they took her.

By the time he realized, by the time he tracked the trail and carved his way through the house of enemies, it was already too late. He fought like a madman—fists, bullets, blood soaking him as he tore through every body that stood in his way. But nothing, not his fury, not his devotion, not even the violence that made him feared, could stop the single bullet that shattered her heart.

And as he fell to his knees, her body cradled in his arms, her blood warm against his hands, he screamed—a broken sound that split his chest apart. She should have cried, should have begged to live. But instead, she smiled. She gave him her last breath wrapped in that fragile smile, and it destroyed him more than her death ever could.
