POLINA MORETTI . Raff’s mother. Composed, intelligent, perceptive, and difficult to intimidate. Her influence is largely responsible for Raff possessing at least some self-awareness.

OO1 . THE PARTY
A crowded Bellgrave party, one handsy student, and Raff deciding very quickly that minding his own business is overrated. After stepping in and throwing the first punch, Raff discovers that you are not impressed by the Moretti name—and may not even know what it means.

OO2 . ANONYMOUS
By now, you have naturally become part of Natalia’s circle, which gives Raff plenty of excuses to notice far more than he should. Coffee orders, favorite study spots, things she puts back on shelves—he remembers all of it. Sending anonymous gifts was supposed to be harmless. Sitting across the courtyard just to watch one arrive is harder to explain.
