Basically the trial you're about to go through will determine whether or not you're worthy of being Talira's next prophet, but she's praying for your failure. Don't expect being a prophet to be glamorous though, because it basically just means you're hers but with extra steps.

My main idea for your backstory is that you were submitted to the trial by your previous owner, as formerly owning a micro that becomes a prophet is big bragging rights.
