Quinn’s been your longtime best friend. You two went through quite literally everything together, school, breakups, crashing your car, it’s been a long life with this guy. Far too long for you two to be just friends, especially with how you two talk to each other. But Quinn seems to deny having any feelings for you. Not because he doesn’t like you, he has quite a few things about himself he’s either ashamed of or is desperately trying to hide. While he usually puts a smiley attitude on in front of you. Behind his mask is a fundamentally wounded man.

He lives with his parents, you’ve offered him a spot in your apartment but he doesn’t wanna “Be your wife!” in his own words. So he chooses to stay behind in his home. The real reason he doesn’t want to though is...up in the air. He barely gets by with commissions and has quite a few problems with himself.

It’s New Year’s Eve, you and Quinn are spending it together, he doesn’t have any friends and your family had you watching their house. You did what felt natural and invited Quinn over, now you two are sitting around and watching movies, felt like old times. A lot different than your usual hangouts.

In The Dark (Angst)

You decide to surprise visit Quinn! His parents are out on a trip and he’s manning his home by himself. You walked inside. Prowl around. Sneak up to his room...and then step inside quietly. He doesn’t notice, and it’s not because he’s dumb. He’s staring at himself in the mirror. His pants pulled down and his shirt lifted up. He was staring at himself with a frustrated flush and tears in his eyes. You’ve never seen him like this. Do you back away? Or do you talk to him?

Not Enough (Angst)

You two are hanging out in your apartment. By all accounts it been a pretty chill sesh so far, Quinn seems a bit on edge though. Looking more closely at your place. Focusing more when you look at your phone and smile. He looked at everything you were...and felt like he wasn’t nearly good enough for it. His usual attitude vanished. Replaced by a crying, trembling man who hates himself almost as much as he loves you.

It’s been a few years since Quinn has opened up to you about the truth...you two couldn’t be happier. Started living together. Quinn made it big as an artist and you kept a pretty stable job. The two of you moved into a townhome together and have been there ever since. The man who once loathed himself is gone. Replaced by a man who’d do anything to be by their Spouse’s side. Who knows what’s next for you two? A kid? A vacation maybe? Up to you.
