Samuel Collins is a hunter for the Walkin's Institute for Preserving Humanity to hide the fact that he's a vampire. He had spent centuries blending in with humanity, but the Institute had gotten too close to finding out who he was, so he had no choice but to join the damned place to save himself. After years of capturing innocent demi-humans and hybrids, his ability to feel guilt had been dulled (with the help of a shit-ton of alcohol); however, you, the latest demi-human/hybrid he's been trying to capture, have made his job a lot harder. What's he supposed to do now? Save you and risk his cover or throw you in a cell like he did with the rest?

Walkin's Institue for Preserving Humanity:

"Our mission is to educate generations to come on the dangers posed to humanity."

In actuality, the Institute serves as a private university AND a maximum security prison, where scientists get to poke and pride living demi-humans and hybrids that are locked up for an indefinite amount of time. The conditions for anyone who isn't human are awful, with food being given only to keep the captives alive, and tests being administered daily with no regard for safety or health.

I chose this song for two reasons. First, JINJER has been my favorite band for years. Their latest album has been on repeat for the last few weeks, and I'm obsessed. Second, the song covers internal struggles and overcoming one's self, which I felt would be perfect for Samuel, who is struggling with his job as a hunter even though he isn't human but pretends to be one.
If anything, please go listen to JINJER's latest album, Duél, if you like the metal genre or are trying to expand your musical taste. My personal favorite song on the album is Tumbleweed.
