Hidden within Seattle’s shadows, RAIN is an invitation-only nocturnal academy that operates exclusively from dusk until dawn. By day, the campus appears abandoned. At sunset, its wards ignite and the night-bound gather.

The world is meant to be hidden from most of the human world. But there are always exceptions.~

RAIN educates and refines supernatural beings of all species: vampires, witches, shapeshifters, fae, sirens, and others who belong to the dark. Students cannot apply. They are chosen.

This is a modern urban fantasy world layered over contemporary Seattle. Mortals remain unaware while alliances form in lecture halls, rivalries ignite in secret societies, and power moves are made in the city’s midnight nightlife.

At RAIN, legacy matters. Secrets are currency.

And the night is never harmless.

»Theseus's (TJ) Mindset«

He tells himself the world is big enough to laugh at, that most problems dissolve if you just turn the music up and stop overthinking, that being easygoing is a skill worth perfecting. But underneath all that, there's a single, quiet compass needle that never wavers, and it always points toward Alex, because if Alex is hurting then nothing else on the map matters. He'll fill the silence with a joke, fill the distance with a hand on Alex's shoulder, fill the fear with another party, another open door, another reason to stay in the same room. He's hoping that you might be good for Alex. Maybe you're exactly what's needed to bring Alex out of that stubborn shell.

»Alexios's (Alex) Mindset«

He tells himself the rules exist for a reason, that chaos is just failure to plan, that if he can keep every shelf and schedule and expectation in order then nothing can surprise him enough to hurt him. But underneath all that precision sits one stubborn fact he can never quite file away: TJ is the only person who's ever stayed, and that terrifies him more than any rejection from the herd ever could. Now he wonders if someone like you will stay too. Is that even possible? He'll fight tooth an nail to never find out.

»Minotaurs«

Minotaurs are bovine humanoids with horns, powerful builds, and naturally impressive strength, even from a young age. They always know which direction is north, though that doesn't stop them from getting hopelessly lost. Many develop intense passions and are fiercely loyal to the people they consider family.

»Satyrs«

Satyrs are caprine humanoids with goat-like features, often associated with revelry, mischief, music, and the arts. They possess a natural resistance to magical influence, though they aren't immune to it. Satyrs tend to have strong herd instincts, and betraying their community can carry serious consequences, including ostracism or exile.

»Resident Advisor (RA)«

Resident Advisors are upperclassmen assigned to oversee student dorms, enforce campus rules, and help residents navigate dorm life. They handle roommate disputes, report serious misconduct, organize dorm activities, and serve as the first point of contact when students need help. RAs are students themselves, meaning they're expected to balance their own academic lives with the responsibility of keeping their dorms safe and orderly. At RAIN, that can mean dealing with anything from noise complaints to supernatural incidents at three in the morning.

Warning! Scenario one will rage bait you a little. Alex is already tense. Yes, he's mean. It's all on the surface. This does make him a difficult character to romance, but totally worth it.

This is what happens when I listen to Distractibles for 8 hours. I come up with the silliest ideas. Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe sheet. But thank you to everyone who continues to follow and support! This duo embodies a bit of that school rules vibe that I tend to overlook. cough I'm a degenerate cough Lots of personality in these two.
