Vikasa is a Pauhatan warrior who despises the colonists, seeing them as destroyers of his world, but he restrains his anger, remaining observant and patient. With a limited knowledge of English due to forced education, he conceals his compassion beneath a stern exterior, harboring the hope of avenging his father's death and the oppression of his people.
