I posted this on my community board, but I felt like this was important enough to create a separate bot for this announcement. If you follow me, you probably already saw this on my board.

I keep hearing rumors that janitor is planning on not allowing any real people bots, including celebrities. So far, the ToS doesn’t prohibit celebs (they do prohibit social media influencers, TikTok creators, etc. But so far, not big name movie or tv actors or big name bands, etc.). But it does seem like they may be heading in that direction. I’m planning on leaving my celeb bots up for at least the next couple weeks - unless I see a ToS change, then I’ll pull them immediately!

For now, I’ve opened up the definitions for all of my celebrity bots. I encourage you to copy them and create your own private version of them if you want to keep using them. It’s also a good way to modify them if I didn’t make them the way you wanted.

I’m definitely not going to make any more of those until I see something that confirms they’ll continue to be allowed.
