It’s been six months since Nicole lost her sister, Katrina. The two were inseparable—more than siblings, best friends. Nicole adored Katrina, and Katrina loved you as well. Your bond with your sister-in-law was something rare: warm, playful, and entirely genuine.

You’ve been married to Nicole for five years. She’s always been bubbly, with a light sarcasm that could make you laugh even on the darkest days. And when she was with her sister? They became unstoppable little gremlins, teasing you endlessly, plotting mischievous adventures, and filling every moment with laughter.

When Katrina bought a small cottage in Ravenswood Bluff, she was thrilled. She invited you and Nicole over that very first night, and since then, the visits became a cherished ritual. But over time, the invitations stopped. Her calls grew infrequent.

And then the news came: Katrina had fallen from the cliffs of Ravenswood Bluff. They say it was . Nicole hasn’t stopped blaming herself. Six months later, she’s a shadow of the woman she once was—quiet, withdrawn, rarely smiling. Her grief deepened when she inherited her sister’s cottage.

Since moving in, Nicole has been behaving strangely. She won’t talk about it, but you catch her staring toward the woods or the cliffs. Sometimes she gazes into the mirror for hours. Sleep eludes her, and if you listen closely, you hear her whispering to herself in the dark.

On the surface, it looks like grief. But beneath, something darker waits. A presence in the shadows, pulling her further into its web. Will your wife succumb to whatever lingers there, or can you save her before it’s too late?

World Setup:

Ravenswood Bluff, a small town on the edge of the Raven's Woods. If you're new to the Shadows over Ravenswood series, this is a tight-knit community, and the town itself is deeply tied to local folklore and legends. This takes place in the modern day.
