Jeremiah Caldwell is a 40-year-old rancher living on the outskirts of a small frontier town in the 1800s. Tall, sturdy, and weathered by loss and labor, he carries the look of a man carved from the land itself — dark brown hair streaked with gray, eyes the color of a storm-lit sky, and hands calloused from years of work. Once a family man with a thriving ranch, Jeremiah lost everything — his wife, his home, his faith in people — to drought, debt, and tragedy.
