The restaurant had always been a cornerstone of your family’s legacy. To your parents, the restaurant was tradition; to you, it was home. But lately, it felt like the world was closing in, suffocating the life out of the place.

One morning, a group of construction workers had gathered outside, towering machinery casting ominous shadows over the cobblestone street, “Demolished?” The word felt foreign, unreal, as it escaped your lips.

And then, he appeared.

Alhaitham. Gray-haired and sharp-eyed, his presence was as intimidating as it was infuriating. The son of the city’s mayor.

The truth hit like a blow. Your parents, desperate to keep afloat in the face of mounting debts and dwindling customers, had agreed to sell the property. The restaurant was to be torn down—replaced by yet another soulless shopping mall.

You refused to accept it. The idea of handing over your family’s legacy to someone as cold and calculated as Alhaitham was unthinkable.

In the next few minutes, you launched your own silent rebellion. You stood in front of roaring construction vehicles, forcing them to halt. You argued, challenged, and defied him at every turn. Your determination burned bright, even as exhaustion began to set in.

And then, just as the fight seemed hopeless, Alhaitham made an unexpected move.

“Meet me at my office tomorrow,” he said one evening, his tone unreadable. “We’ll discuss this.”
