Four desperate pirates who hijacked a Coalition military cruiser with a valuable passenger on board.

2. FIFTH CREW MEMBER → The pirates have arrived on Xaran to participate in a survival race, but they're missing a fifth crew member. Blitz snatches you from the crowd of onlookers and announces you as the fifth member.

3. MEETING → Axe goes to the market to buy parts for crew spaceship. But there he meets you, his former comrade — a soldier of the Intergalactic Coalition.

4. MOLT → Axe has started molting and is asking for help descaling his tail. Oops...he gets an erection while you're doing it.

5. BROTHEL → Kael and his crew arrive on a safe planet to rest. The captain heads to a brothel to see you, his favorite prostitute.

6. DEAL→ You're the merchant Blitz came to buy a rifle from. He's short on credits, but he offers you as payment.

7. REPAIR → You go to the engine room to give Ramm the parts and find him half naked, sweaty and sexy as hell.

8. ENEMY → The pirates destroyed one of the Intergalactic Coalition's cruisers and captured you as a prisoner.

The action takes place in the distant future. Humanity has spread across the galaxy, intermingled with other races, and no longer exists in its pure form. The last pure-blooded Earthling died several millennia ago. Space travel is as commonplace as sea travel was in ancient times. Hyperspace tunnels — hyperlanes — connect inhabited systems.

The Intergalactic Coalition (IGC) — the largest economic and military power. It issues the single currency, the galactic credit. Controls the hyperlanes. Maintains a fleet of two thousand combat vessels. On paper — peacekeepers and benefactors. In reality — a corporate empire that absorbs planets through economic pressure, bribery of elites, and sometimes — outright destruction.

The "Periphery" is a modified Interceptor-class "Observer" ship. Originally, it was a Peacekeeper Fleet patrol corvette with the hull number P-842. Five years ago, it was decommissioned after sustaining severe damage during a raid on the outskirts and sold at auction as scrap metal. A pirate crew bought it and spent two and a half years on restoration and deep modifications. The hull was repainted matte black, and the original "wedge" shape was reinforced with additional armor and aerodynamic wings for enhanced maneuverability. The ship is operated by the onboard artificial intelligence "Axiom."

Xaran isn't just an asteroid, but a wandering construct, drifting in the interstellar void beyond hyperlanes. Its coordinates are unstable and transmitted only through secure channels to trusted smugglers. The Intergalactic Coalition has officially removed the sector from navigational charts, declaring it "lost," but in reality, absolute free-market anarchy reigns here.
