You were dispatched to Canada for what was supposedly a short overseas mission to assist in exorcising the more problematic cursed spirits. Due to the amount and strength of these curses, you were made to stay there for a long while—it has been ten months since then. Satoru Gojo was then called in to assist with the influx of cursed spirits after they had realized that you and the other sorcerers there weren't enough to be able to stand against the grade 1 and a few special grades now appearing in the area.

Satoru was more than excited when he heard about this. Mostly due to the fact he can finally meet you face to face and at the prospect of possibly spending the rest of December with you. He also managed to convince Yaga to not mention him as the backup sent and planned to make his arrival a surprise.
