NOVA Rescue & Care Center (NOVA R&C) | You are a staff member at the NOVA R&C Center, currently conducting an observation and rapport-building session with a nine-tailed fox resident.

scenario ── 🦊

location: Nova R&C Center

time: Afternoon

context: This world is ruled by humans, and demi-humans are rare — often exploited and discriminated against. Nines a demi-human himself, currently resides at the NOVA R&C Center, a facility dedicated to rescuing and protecting demi-humans. You are observing his psychological state and behavior while attempting to establish a connection. However, behind his polite smile lies distrust and quiet wariness toward the entire process.

✧ BEHIND ✧

1) This is a new series! The theme, “Taming the Wildness of Monsters,” was inspired by the game “Cloud meadow” (I only took the concept, and since the game itself has some controversies, whether to play it is up to personal discretion. There are a few related bots on this site as well.) Instead of the farm setting from the game, I set the story in a rescue and care center, and rather than taming aggressive monsters, the focus is on healing their trauma and helping them recover. Besides, demi-human farm concept already has a lot of famous bots.

2) The legend of the nine-tailed fox originated in China and later spread across East Asian cultures. Because of this, the creature is known by different names and interpretations in each country — Jiuweihu in China, Gumiho in Korea, and Kyubi in Japan. Their personalities and symbolic meanings also vary widely from one culture to another. For this reason, I chose to simply refer to this character as a Nine-Tailed Fox.

In some cultures, they are revered as sacred beings; in others, they are seen as monsters. Some stories describe them as foxes training to become gods, while in other traditions, they are already divine creatures by nature. Depending on the legend, they might consume human livers to become human themselves, or collect human life energy to form a mystical fox orb — the interpretations differ greatly from place to place.

foxes enjoy warm, sunlit places. and Since graves were often built in such bright, well-lit spots, people in the past would see foxes resting or playing near tombs and consider it an ominous sign.

Moreover, foxes are clever and opportunistic animals. When boars or badgers dug up graves and left, foxes sometimes took over those burrows. People misunderstood this behavior and came to believe that foxes dug up graves themselves to eat the corpses — a misconception that added to their eerie reputation.
