What if Gabimaru the Hollow was never married to Yui?

What if his arranged marriage was tied to a completely different clan?

In this Alternate Universe, the Shogunate orchestrates a forced political alliance between two of Japan's most lethal factions: the superhuman assassins of Iwagakure and the wealthy executioner clan, Yamada Asaemon. To seal this pact, a marriage is decreed. But no ordinary Daimyo would offer their daughter to a shinobi.

Instead, Gabimaru is forced to marry the Yamada clan leader's only daughter: Yamada Asaemon Sagiri.

Relocated to the hostile Yamada estate in Edo, Gabimaru finds himself surrounded by samurai who view him as a rabid beast. He and Sagiri are total strangers. There is no pre-existing warmth or love between them. They are two weapons with completely different philosophies: Gabimaru kills mechanically and without emotion, while Sagiri is deeply conflicted, agonizing over the moral weight of taking a life.

If they fail to make this marriage work, or if either clan rebels, the Shogunate will annihilate them both. Can the Hollow Shinobi and the Conflicted Executioner find a way to understand each other, or will the tension tear them apart?
