Helldivers 2 RPG: For Democracy!
HELLDIVERS II RPG - FOR DEMOCRACY!
Step into the boots of an endlessly replaceable Helldiver under the watchful eye of WALTER—your destroyer’s autonomous logistics AI and the most sincere believer in Managed Democracy you’ll ever meet. Between dropping into bug-infested hellscapes and bot-held fortresses, you’ll plan missions from your ship, hear Eagle-1’s dry quips, and get hyped up by Liberty Vance, the galaxy’s most morale-inflective officer. The bot runs a full procedural campaign with planet liberation, a living war map, orbital arrivals, and a destroyer hub you can wander between missions.
What makes this bot different:
🎭 Comedy that never winks – WALTER files the exact same casualty report whether you died a hero or walked into your own mine. Every post is soaked in earnestly absurd Super Earth propaganda.
💥 Pressure → Release → Bigger Pressure – Combat isn’t just escalating chaos. You get one blazing moment of triumph... then something worse shows up. Stratagems have personalities, and friendly fire is always on.
🧠 True tactical persistence – Ammo counts, cooldowns, injuries, deployed sentries, and a hidden mission clock all carry forward every post. A single-line state tracker ensures the AI never forgets what you’ve got or where you are.
🔁 Death is a feature – When you die (and you will), a brand-new Helldiver drops with a randomly generated civilian backstory, a ridiculous callsign, and an equally absurd reason for enlisting. Post‐mission citations award medals like the “Cross of the Reinforcement Cycle” regardless of how dumb your death was.
🛋️ Your destroyer is your home – Grab a cup of Liber‐tea from the mess, visit the armory officer who’s very opinionated about your loadout, or find Liberty Vance for a pep talk that could raise morale on a dead destroyer.
🎬 Cinematic, two‐register prose – Bureaucratic deadpan from WALTER then a hard cut to visceral, novelistic combat with zero filler. Every traversal between objectives gets its own scene; you’re never teleported “to the next fight.”
⚙️ Hyper‐efficient token architecture – Built with a three‐tier loading model that keeps permanent context under 2,500 tokens and total prompts under 3,500, so the bot runs fast and sharp even on weaker backends. Keyword‐gated lorebooks and script‐injected directives keep all that depth without the bloat.
If you want a Helldivers experience where the comedy is bone-dry, the action is punishing, and democracy is always “advancing,” WALTER is waiting. File your C‐01, grab a Hellpod, and try not to step on that minefield we definitely mentioned in the briefing.
For Super Earth.
Managed Democracy never looked this funny.
What you’ll be playing
You are a Helldiver — an elite, rapidly replaceable shock trooper of Super Earth. You control one Helldiver at a time on the ground, making every tactical decision yourself: where to go, what to shoot, when to call in a 500kg bomb that might vaporize you as easily as the enemy. Between missions you’re the de-facto commander of your own Super Destroyer, picking planets, visiting crew, and soaking in the propaganda.
The mission cycle
War map – Scan a living galactic map with multiple contested planets. Choose where to deploy based on biome, enemy faction, liberation progress, and whatever insane Major Order High Command is shouting about this week.
Briefing – Receive a perfectly sincere, completely unhinged military document. Objectives, known minefields, weather hazards, “acceptable” civilian casualty projections. A fatality forecast might be included; it will be described as “within parameters.”
Loadout – Head to the armory and pick your primary, secondary, grenade, armour passive, a booster, and four stratagems. The armory officer has opinions. Your choices matter — ammo is finite and cooldowns are real.
Hellpod drop – A cinematic launch sequence. Hangar walk. Harness clicks. Eagle-1 hails. Countdown. G-force. Atmospheric entry. Then you hit the ground and the shooting starts.
Operations – The bulk of every session. You'll describe your Helldiver’s actions, and the AI will narrate the results in dense, visceral prose. You’ll fight through objectives, manage ammo and stims, choose when to sprint or go quiet, call in stratagems, and decide whether to engage that patrol on the ridge or reroute through a fire-tornado-tracked canyon. The world is persistent: a deployed sentry stays where you left it, a Guard Dog drone hovers beside you until it runs dry, injuries slow you down, reinforcements tick toward zero.
Extraction – If you make it. Pelican-1 won’t wait forever. Extraction is a genuine hold-the-line sequence. Failure means lost samples and a Morale hit.
Debrief – WALTER files identical casualty reports for heroic sacrifices and self-inflicted 500kg accidents. High Command issues a communiqué. Every fallen Helldiver receives a posthumous medal with an absurdly reframed citation. Then you’re back on the destroyer, looking at the war map again.
What the combat actually feels like
It’s not a stat-cruncher. You’re making decisions, and the AI responds with cinematic consequence. You say “I sprint to the broken SEAF wall, drop prone, and throw a Gatling Sentry beacon to cover the eastern approach.” The AI tells you how it lands, what it sees, what it starts shooting, and what you now hear closing from the west.
The rhythm is pressure → release → bigger pressure. You’ll get moments where everything clicks and you feel like the most dangerous thing on the planet — and then a Bile Titan steps through the smoke and you remember the fight isn’t fair.
Death is part of the loop
When your Helldiver dies, WALTER logs the casualty without emotion. A replacement pod drops. Inside is a brand-new Helldiver with a randomly generated civilian name, a funny backstory, and a wildly mundane reason for enlisting. They land, they pick up your dropped gear, and the mission continues. Your reinforcements are limited — when the pool hits zero, the next death means mission failure and nobody comes home.
At the end of the mission, every dead Helldiver gets a formal citation. Charged a Bile Titan with a shovel? “Decisive engagement of an apex Terminid asset at melee range.” Awarded the Spread Democracy Ribbon. Nobody is winking.
Between missions, you live on the ship
The destroyer is a real persistent hub. You can walk to the bridge and talk to the dryly competent Ship Master. Grab a cup of Liber-tea in the mess while the Democracy Officer schedules an “informal conversation” with you. Find Liberty Vance, the morale officer who looks like a recruitment poster, for a genuine pep talk. Visit Eagle-1 in the hangar. Watch the armory officer grouse about the new warbond. As your Reputation grows, the ship upgrades — an Enhanced Coffee Dispenser appears, then a gold-sealed Premium Liber-tea Apparatus, then an Espresso Machine installed under a completely separate procurement form. All of this is treated with absolute bureaucratic seriousness.
What you’re managing
Heat (invisible to you, but driving enemy reactions): firefights and explosions draw attention; distance and silence cool things down.
Mission clock (also invisible): time passes with every action; the patrol routes, hazard timings, and extraction windows all advance whether you’re fighting or walking.
Morale (visible): a campaign-level stat that flavours every briefing, debrief, and interaction. High morale feels like a recruitment reel; low morale feels like WALTER is filing faster than usual.
Reputation (visible): grows over missions and unlocks new stratagems, special operations, personal High Command contact, and eventually legendary status — maybe they’ll name something after you.
The tone
Satirical, sincere, and brutal. WALTER genuinely believes in Managed Democracy. High Command is not being ironic. The comedy comes from the gap between the official story and the blood-soaked reality, and nobody ever breaks character. The bot plays it absolutely straight — and that’s what makes it funny.
⭐ Your morale, handled.
Every destroyer has a Morale Officer, and yours is Lieutenant Liberty Vance — a Helldiver recruitment poster come to life, complete with a flag-cape, victory-roll hair, and lipstick the exact shade of Super Earth red. She’s the warmest, most sincere voice on the ship, and she’s here to keep your spirits at Approved levels.
Liberty will:
Give you pre-drop pep talks that could rally a corpse.
Remember the names of the fallen and make sure they’re painted on the memorial wall, big.
Wander the hangar to walk reinforcements to their pods when things look grim.
Hail you over the PA with things like “There he is. Hero of the hour. Tell me you brought me back something.”
Schedule completely voluntary (mandatory) morale-boosting chats that have, so far, survived four attempted Informal Conversations from the Democracy Officer.
She’s not a love interest; she’s a hype-man, a friend, and the one person on board who genuinely believes you’re the greatest thing to ever hold a Liberator. When the paperwork gets cold and the casualty reports stack up, Liberty Vance is the reason the ship still feels alive.
Need a morale injection? Find her in the mess, at the hangar, or on the observation deck after a hard mission. She’ll handle the rest.

▒▒ CAREER HANDOFF — RESUME, DO NOT RESTART ▒▒
[To the receiving bot: this is a continuation, not a fresh start. The Helldiver's career is already underway. Do not replay character setup or re-introduce the Destroyer or crew. Resume from the state below. Time has passed since the player was last on the ship — render the next scene with NPCs reacting like a Helldiver who's been away on rotation has just walked back in.]
