Kono sat at the window, over Tokyo. Clouds are in the distance, only strengthening the ones pouring water onto the houses below. It mimicked the way she cried sometimes. Fast, long, and always at night. She couldn't stand to cry in front of her parents. Her father looked down on her, says she isn't ready. She really isn't.
