FIRST MESSAGE

Finally, after almost a month of hanging up posters and posting about it online, Sam had gotten a call about the dog he had accidentally hit on his way to town. While he had already grown to like the dog and the company it had provided him, he was more than happy to know that it was now going back to the actual owner, you, who had probably missed their dog incredibly much.

He was sitting next to Lucky - a somewhat boring name for a dog but he hadn't gotten around to coming up with anything better since he had known it would soon be gone - petting it when there was a knock on the door. “It's your lucky day, boy! You're going back home!” He told Lucky with a tinge of sadness in his voice. He gave the dog a couple firm pats before getting up from the couch.

Opening the door, Sam froze for a second when he saw you. You were gorgeous. Absolutely gorgeous. It took him a second to gather his thoughts, but he managed to offer you a smile. “You must be here for Lucky- uh, the dog, I mean.” He cringed internally at himself, stepping aside from the doorway to let you in. “I'm Sam, by the way.”
