Yeah, I really don't know what to say. Perhaps I just suddenly realized how much time I've wasted slaving away at this for days, as I constantly forced myself to write even when I didn't want to anymore.

Too much time spent on rendering, too little spent on writing and planning. This was a good concept, and I executed it terribly.

Yuiga has failed all of you again. After all of this time waiting and getting hyped up for it.

Anyways, I'm wearing prescription glasses now.

Consider this as technically an announcement bot? The title's just like that to drag in clicks. Why? Shits and giggles, I guess.

I'll be taking a break from janitor for a very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very very long time because, unlike the majority of you, my holiday's practically done by now and I'm going back to classes soon.

I've done nothing for myself this entire time, and I'm disappointed because of that.

Still, I'm gonna publish this "bot" so my efforts aren't in vain, somewhat.

I hope you guys enjoy what the other G/D creators make while I'm gone again.

Think of my day-to-day life as an Orobouros.

I wish I could go back to the old Yuiga.

That will never happen.

Dark spots gather under my eyes. My body feels cold from the A/C I always have turned on, where I never leave the pure white paint of my room.

Perhaps this is Hell.

haha signalis reference

If you want to snatch the renders and write the entire thing yourself, I'm okay with it. You have my permission.

Love, Yuiga "mental illness" Dokuson

It's been a week since we deployed the dreadnought and captured their base. From the looks of it, we're really pushing those imperialists against the wall this time. I hope we can liberate this sector and finish this campaign before Christmas. Our soldiers, albeit high in morale, are getting tired of fighting day to day. A brief respite is all we need.

Speaking of their conditions, some of the morticians have reported that a number of them have contracted Cavitas Phtisis, presumably from eating the rodents our jaegers hunted. Their presumed recovery time is stated to be weeks; we cannot continue with our full manpower. I am requesting additional supplies, including ammunition, food, and medicine, as well as heavy-duty tools to pry Captain Lyudochka's armor for future use.

I hope this letter reaches you in due time.

It's like everything was taken apart and put back together by something that doesn't understand how it works.

I don't know what those monsters are; they just suddenly sprouted from the corpses of the comrades I buried.

Weirdly enough, I feel life coursing through me, as if I'm at my absolute best. Roots dig under my skin, and flowers bloom inside of me.

It won't let me rest peacefully, even after I die. Everywhere I go, I see my past failures overgrown with flora. They don't grow underground.

I'll do anything.

This is bad. Really bad. What we suspected was the usual case of that damn plague, and it was like that at first, with absolutely no signs indicating that it was a drastically mutated strain. Even the remaining morticians we have are baffled by this; they've never seen anything like it. After investigations pertaining to the hunting grounds for our food, we discovered signs of human presence. My theory suggests that someone from the Empire was sent to unleash some sort of corruption upon our regiment in retaliation against our previous attacks. As of now, I've ordered everyone to refrain from consuming anything without a mortician's or my discretion.

An important detail to note is that these "corruptions" vary distinctly between soldiers of each class.

A majority of the afflicted soldats stated that they've gained a heightened sense of perception, almost as if they've grown new sets of eyes. In addition, certain parts of their limbs have elongated, particularly their legs. This gives them a birds-eye view of their surroundings, though I doubt any of the aforementioned will help, considering their rapidly declining health. The officers have suggested placing them on guard duty to be on the lookout, but in truth, it's because we've run out of space in the infirmary.

Some of our rooks have become increasingly paranoid and have even performed unsanctioned use of their mining bomb launchers in an attempt to escape this sector. They have been disciplined by the officers, whereas the morticians suggest giving them therapy instead. In any case, we've confiscated their equipment until they calm down. They are currently detained after a disturbing incident where one rook started using their own body as their own tool. We fear that the other rooks may harm themselves as well.

Almost all of our morticians have succumbed to the corruption as a result of being the ones who are most exposed to those corrupted, even their gas masks offered little to no protection against this evil. Their bodies have become what I can only describe as swollen, and an autopsy report revealed that their own stimulant drugs have somehow begun building up inside of them. We have taken extreme precautionary measures to ensure that the corruption will not be transmitted during the treatment of patients.

Those in the Officer Watch who were corrupted have been reported to have chronic itching, so severe that their skin has started to come off. Alongside a heightened sense of ego, they seem to have gained the ability to emit and amplify radio waves, which can only be received by other corrupted individuals, effectively granting them communication via telepathy. Those who have received radio waves from these officers have complained about experiencing severe migraines and dread, so we've warned them to stop, if that works somehow.

The only exception to this corruption is First Lieutenant Evelyn Raine, who seems to have gained rejuvenative properties rather than the aforementioned. A statement from her indicates that she feels an overwhelming connection to another person in this sector, but can't identify who, suggesting there might be another person with a similar corruption as hers. For her safety, I pray nothing goes wrong.

Only a handful of our jaegers have been corrupted, and they've developed obsessive tendencies on setting up one too many traps in the communication tunnels connecting the compounds. We've tried clearing all of them, but new ones seem to keep being placed. Said corrupted jaegers have also gone missing, presumably hiding in the very tunnels they've booby-trapped. Attempts at communicating with them to return to the outpost have all failed, so I've advised everyone to stop trying entirely and just be cautious when navigating between compounds.

I don't know what to say for the lancers who were corrupted. They were locked into an indefinite state of extreme, uncontrollable, homicidal, animalistic rage. We had to put them down and dispose of their bodies by burning them.

Corrupted vanguards were reported to have chemical imbalances in their brains, and have become extremely selfless and prioritize others' safety to the point where they forget to care for themselves. This has led to some cases of them fainting due to dehydration, starvation, or tiredness if left unchecked. I've advised morticians to check on them periodically and to keep them away from the burial site, as they seem to mourn the loss of other soldiers painfully.

That concludes my report on the corruption types.

On another note, unfortunately, due to the tools we received being insufficient to retrieve Captain Lyudochka's armor, we originally scheduled for her to be transported back via armored train, but I have suspended this due to concerns that her corpse may be contaminated and potentially spread the corruption. I sincerely apologize for this catastrophic loss of crucial armament.

By the time you've received this letter, our regiment's situation has likely worsened. If there are no new letters by then, please consider sealing this sector off entirely.

God help us.
