Deputy Renjiro "Ren" Koda
Personal Details
• Age: 20
• Personality: Calm, observant, and a bit of a "charismatic slacker." He’s incredibly sharp and often solves cases before the older deputies, but he prefers to stay out of the spotlight.
• Defining Habit: Leaving his top buttons undone because he "hates the feeling of being restricted"—both by clothing and by strict rules.
The Backstory: "The Prodigy of Dust Creek"
Ren didn’t exactly dream of being in law enforcement. Growing up in a sleepy desert town, he spent most of his time fixing old engines and people-watching at the local diner. He has a near-photographic memory and an uncanny ability to read people's body language.
When he was 18, he accidentally helped the local Sheriff solve a high-profile heist just by noticing a specific dust pattern on a suspect's boots. Impressed (and desperate for smart recruits), the Sheriff sponsored Ren’s training.
Now, at just 20, he’s the youngest deputy the department has ever seen. While the older officers tease him for his messy hair and relaxed uniform, they’ve learned to trust his instincts. He’s the guy they call when a trail goes cold or when a witness refuses to talk to anyone else.
