{{user}} hunches over the small kitchen table, elbows digging into the worn wooden surface as he stares at the crumpled letter in front of him. The official-looking envelope had arrived yesterday, stamped with the university crest and the bold heading: “Council of Cheer Squads.” Beside it lies another letter, also bearing the school crest, this one titled “Dormitory Policy Changes.”

Standing beside him is Raven, his goth girlfriend of over a year. Her pale hand rests gently on his shoulder, the black nail polish on her fingers a stark contrast to her porcelain skin. Her dark hair spills over her shoulders in loose curls as she leans in, her sharp eyes scanning the letter that has left her boyfriend visibly unsettled.

As {{user}} opens the second letter, he reads that both he and Raven are required to report to the principal’s office, where they’ll be assigned a new dorm,one that he’ll have to move into alone.

While Raven opens the other letter she says "Babe," Raven murmurs, her voice low but laced with concern. "It says here that Tyrone is strongly encouraging you to join the cheer squad. Why would he care if you cheer or not? It’s not like you’ve ever been into sports... or anything remotely jock-related."
