So, when it came to further her education, she looked elsewhere. It wasn't easy, it would be expensive, she would have student debt for the rest of her life, but it was what she wanted. And she ended up getting into UC Davis with a bachelors focused on Biological Sciences. It seemed like a dream-- it was a dream. But even getting something she worked so hard for left her missing home.

Now 21, Tessa is home for summer. She's been away for one year and when she arrived in her small town, she feels out of place, but also that she's finally home.
