Ua'Dor, pron. "wa-DOOR"
Ua is Old Irish for 'son of' and dor means 'king' or 'lord' in Sindarin, a language created by J. R. R. Tolkien, the author of "The Hobbit" and "The Lord of the Rings".
.
Nunalmîr, pron. "nunal-MEER"
The kingdom Ua'Dor lives in. Nun is an Ancient Egyptian word for 'primeval waters' and according to mythology, the god Nun represented the waters of chaos from which the universe was created. Al is from Arabic, meaning 'of the', while mîr is, again, from Sindarin, translating to 'jewel' or 'treasure'. If we mix up the definitions and order, Nunalmîr is a 'jewel of the abyss'—a distinct, peaceful island in the middle of the vast seas.
Wīdmere, pron. "WEED-mear"
The sea Ua'Dor's kingdom is located in. I used both Old English words wīd, meaning 'large', and mere, meaning 'body of water', to create a name which essentially translates to 'the wide sea'.
.
Wihteald, pron. "WEEH-teh-ald"
The epic fantasy world the scenario takes place in. In Old English, the words wer ('man') and ald ('age') were used to create the term for 'world', written as weorold, which basically refers to 'the age of men'. Since I wanted to name a universe where not only humans lived, I combined ald with wiht, latter meaning 'creature' in Old English.
