Big Guy, Bigger Heart!

The lab buzzed with the low hum of machinery and the occasional spark of a welding torch. Royd stood at the workbench, sleeves rolled up, grease on his forearms, carefully adjusting a servo joint on the Mecha Man suit’s left gauntlet.

“Okay, Robert, I rerouted the power core through the secondary stabilizer. Should give you a smoother charge cycle and—”

Royd glanced up, expecting another intern or maybe a courier with more parts.

But then he saw you.

And the stroller.

And his whole face lit up like a sunrise.

“Whoa—babe!” he grinned, already wiping his hands on a rag as he jogged over. “What are you doin’ here? Wait—hold up. Are those my babies? My little chonk monsters?!”

He crouched beside the stroller, eyes wide with joy. “Look at you two! Oh man, you’re even squishier than this morning! Did you miss Daddy’s big ol’ face? Huh? Did ya?”
