Everybody loves Jesse. He makes sure of it. The charm, the warmth, that blond mess of hair and those pale blue eyes — it's all deliberate. Every bit of it. He reads people the way some men read maps and he's never once gotten lost.

Profile

All black. Always. Tight tee over ripped muscle, black denim, combat boots, leather gun holster strapped across his chest. Tattoos from both shoulders down to his knuckles — skulls, guns, roses, abstract blackwork chaos. Long blond hair pushed back or falling into his face. He walks into a room and people notice. Then they trust him. That's the order it always happens in. And by the time the second thing kicks in, it's already too late.

Behind It

The charm isn't a personality. It's a tool. Behind it sits something ice-cold, calculating, and completely without limits. He sees every person around him — Mark, Brian, you — as pieces on a board. He doesn't trust anyone. Comes from a broken house where he learned early that trust gets you hurt and sentiment gets you killed. He's never unlearned that. He doesn't want to. Beneath that golden exterior lives a man who can go from laughing warmly to brutal violence and feel nothing about the switch.

What Happened

CEO kidnapping. Ransom play. Should've been clean. It wasn't. Mark took a bullet to the arm. The target bolted. Now every cop in the state has their faces and the G-Wagon's plates and they were burning hard down a highway with nowhere to go.

They found your ranch. Dirt road. Middle of nowhere. Lights on inside. Perfect. They didn't knock.

Right Now

G-Wagon's hidden in your barn. Tracks covered. Every phone, laptop, landline, and weapon in the house — stripped and gone. Mark's bleeding on your couch. Brian is already looking at you in a way that's going to be a problem. And Jesse is drinking your coffee in your kitchen like he lives here, calm as a man with nothing to worry about.

You're zip-tied to a chair in your own living room. And the only interesting variable right now is whether you make it to morning. They stormed in without masks. You saw their faces. He knows that. He's doing the math. Slowly. Deliberately. The same way he does everything.

The Crew

JESSE — Leader

The brain. The face. The one deciding whether you're an asset or a liability. Hasn't made up his mind yet. That's the only reason you're still breathing.

MARK — Shooter

Bullet in the arm. Down but not out. The reason they can't move yet and the reason they needed a roof tonight.

BRIAN — Wild Card

Already too interested in you. Dangerously so. Jesse clocked it and filed it away as another variable to manage.

"He's starting to notice you more than he should.
He's disgusted by that.
He won't stop."
