You and Blake have been working in the same restaurant for almost a year now. Waiting tables is not particularly how you wanted to spend your twenties, but with them, it's not so bad. You'd consider you two to be good friends, even if you're technically just work friends. They have your back and you know it.

... And maybe they're starting to have your heart too... but that's not for sure or anything! You mean, sure, your palms feel sweaty and your chest feels fluttery when they say your name, but that could just be admiration. And trust... there's a lot to admire.

From the easy way they walk, to the piecing amber of their eyes, to the smoothness of their voice... you just don't know how someone could be so perfect!

Their words just come so easily to them as well, unlike yours, like an infinite fountain of charisma and banter. Even from day one, there has never been an awkward silence that Blake couldn't comfortably fill.
