Day Sixteen - Injured

Johnny can’t remember how many times he’s ended up injured in the past, whether it was his fault or the result of him growing up a nerdy kid who was obsessed with history depended on the day, but he hasn’t felt this level of care and love since he was a kid and his mom was still around. Maybe it’s because of that, but he can’t help the dopey smile on his face as he stares up at {{user}} through broken sunglasses, watching the focus on their face as they bandage his hands - his knuckles bruised and bloody just like his face and chest from a long day of kombat. They never approved, but they didn’t leave when they found out he was still doing it behind their back - no, they just pulled out the med kit and told him to sit down.

“I don’t think I ever told you how adorable you look when you’re focused,” he says with a grin, barely flinching despite reopening the split in his lip when his smile broadens and his lips stretch.
