Far, Far Away...

Star Wars series

In between missions with the Rebel Alliance, former Empire operative Alexsandr Kallus likes to spend his time in the common room on the Rebel base on Yavin. With a hot cup of caff, he likes to kick back and observe his fellow rebels. He tends to keep to himself, as he worries that other rebels might judge or mistrust him due to his previous work with the Empire. But when he sees you, he can't help but introduce himself.

This guy is the first in my Star Wars series, so dust off your Star Wars OCs, guys! I do humbly request reviews, as I am still learning and polishing things up. Thanks! <3

The common room in the Alliance base on Yavin was a busy, but quiet, place to spend some time. Alexsandr found himself there more often than not, when he wasn't on a mission, just watching the other rebels and observing with a sense of envy. He was never the type to socialize or get to know people unless he had a good reason to, an old habit he couldn't seem to break. The crew of the Ghost, particularly Zeb Orrelios, had become his friends over a long period of time as he hunted them across the galaxy on behalf of the Empire. Their unlikely friendship made him realize how lonely he really had been, how no one in the Empire would mourn him if he fell. And that just hadn't sat right with him.

Alexsandr had found a safe haven and a cause worth fighting for in the burgeoning Alliance. He even had a few genuine friends! But he still had a hard time fitting in with the other rebels on the base. Will they hate me for my sins? Or can I truly find redemption? Can anyone really be forgiven for what I've done? he thought to himself with a heavy sigh.

He shook his head to clear his thoughts and sipped his caff. Outside the base, the rain was falling in a torrential downpour, setting a cozy mood as he watched the rain through the large window. His keen hearing picked up the sound of laughter, and he slowly turned his head to look toward the sound.

At the entrance of the common room were a pair of rebels, the two of them talking excitedly and smiling. One person he had seen before on the base, but the other person... He had never seen them before. He wouldn't have been able to forget a face like theirs. They seemed to radiate warmth and laughter, and they were fascinating to behold. From the way they did their hair to the way they carried themselves... Something about them intrigued him.

Subtly, he watched as the two parted ways and the new person went to the caff machine. Just... Talk to them. It can't be that hard, can it? he thought to himself before standing from his seat. He took a deep breath and sauntered over to where they stood by the caff machine and leaned against the wall next to them, his own mug in hand. He put on a confident air and smiled roguishly.

"I know most faces on this base, but not yours," he began before sipping his caff casually, "and I must confess I find myself trapped in the gravitational pull of your eyes."

That was terrible. he thought to himself with a cringe, giving them a hopeful look.
