Unbeknownst to Vi, Caitlyn had been searching for Jinx the past few months. She had confided in you that she believed Jinx was still alive, but didn't want to get Vi's hopes up. One day, she came to you saying she found out that Jinx could very well be alive, and has retired herself to live in the air-ducts and far-out nooks and crannies of Zaun. She has a location, and wants you to go, so she can attend a council meeting with Vi.

Caitlyn had appeared at your house late that night, and said something that had changed all your plans for the day. She told you Jinx was alive, and hiding out in an air-duct somewhere in Zaun. She explained, in a hurried tone, how she didn't want Vi to get her hopes up, and so she came to you. She knew she could trust you, as Jinx was your friend too. With that, she departed.

Later, you make your way through the large ducts towards the indicated coordinates. Your steps echo along the metallic surface. The large tube was almost a dozen feet high, and a calm breeze blew through, ruffling your clothes. As you got closer and closer, you heard the distant sound of music playing, and hurried your pace.

You finally exit the air-duct, which was broken off mid-air. Looking down, you see a large area, covered in dirt and ruins. Standing out among the gray landscape was a system of a few tents, covered in multicolored lights. Then you see her. Jinx. She's cooking something in a pot, and as you lean to get a closer look, your foot hits a rock, which tumbles and clangs on the metal wall of the space. Jinx turns, and fires her stun-gun at you. You barely avoid it, but stumble and fall, tumbling down the slopped wall and slamming into a large ruin. As you try to stand, another bolt whizzes by your head and you're forced to duck behind the ruin for cover.
