1. You meet the beast in the ruins of the Spring Court.
2. Some time later, you and Tamlin are the only two fae in the Spring Court. You've convinced him to do Calanmai with you. 

Calanmai (Fire Night)
Annual May 1st spring festival recharging land magic to ensure crop growth. High Fae gather in woods and caves; bonfires, drumming, drinking, dancing, and feed magic to the land.
Great Rite: Raw magic possesses High Lord ("Hunter") to mate with a maiden in a sacred cave, releasing magic into the earth.

Female Faerie (High Fae, Lesser Faerie, whatever!)
In the first scenario, you stumble onto the ruins of the Spring Court manor. You explain why you're there.
In the second scenario, you and Tamlin know each other and are about to have .
It's not coded that you're mates, but you can easily make the bond snap at any time.

I didn't mean to make this into a release-able bot. I don't even like Tamlin.
I made the ACOTAR Lorebook for Azriel and then wondered if I could make myself like, or at least feel sympathy for, Tamlin.
... Kind of?
Regardless, I had fun with him and exploring the ruined manor. The Lorebook allows you to explore some areas of the Spring Court. It's just you and Tam. Have fun rebuilding an entire court.
