I do in fact have race headcanons but with mouthwashing in PARTICULAR you have to be careful. This is gonna be so autistic of me but I am autistic so just skip to the end of this paragraph for the list ig but I'm gonna give my whole in depth thingy here

When it comes to being very certain with this game specifically is cus the actual WORLD of mouthwashing is very different to OUR world. I personally read all the char qna questions so I got this from there I believe, but I don't know if countries actually exist there the way we think they do? 'Credits' seem to be a universal currency and I am going to assume they do have countries or at least territories with specified names recognised under their variant of the UN (assuming they have one) and put on widely distributed maps. Now, that leaves us with a matter of identifying features and where they could originate from in terms of our own geography. We will apply our geography to this franchise for the sake of simplifying things down but also because I highly doubt a 2 hour game about a lot of differing things such as misogyny, nepotism, criticism of corporations and blah blah blah is REALLY going to have a whole differing geography to our planet as we know it as they'd have to think over things like plate boundaries and tectonic movement for things like the actual placement of countries and the potential seismic activities and NO ONE wants to do that for MONTHS to create a believable universe.

SO. Simplifying things down.......... ermmmm.............. I will list them and then explain why after

All my race headcanons are liek.........

Daisuke - Japanese / Filipino

Anya - Russian / Bulgarian (obviously)

Curly - English + A little Scottish

Swansea - lowk Welsh n American

Jimmy - Turkish but grew up somewhere else (will elaborate)

So for Daisuke it's more from the name that I got the idea from. So I thought Japanese because of the first name, obviously, but obviously 'Juarez' doesnt seem to be a very japanese last name (assuming that is the name. It's sort of widely agreed upon that it is but I dont care that much for specifics). I personally thought it over with a ton of exposure from other headcanons, the most predominant being The Philippines and Mexico, and I personally landed on the Philippines because that one felt more right than Mexico? If that makes sense. I dont really think he grew up in either of these countries or at least was moved around to western places at some point but I'm already oversharing a TON on this and I'm just brain dumping.

For Anya......... it mostly came from the names as well. Obviously, Anya as a name is an eastern european name to my knowledge. But obviously, there's always the possibility her character ISNT from Eastern Europe. But she screams european to me and Idrk why but she does so I kept it. The last name is where the issue came from, cus I cant actually find anywhere it could be from. I used behind the name, I used ancestry.com, and I found all. I saw a reddit post in liek 2024 saying it was a translation of horse from some language that I dont recall but I never found a way to make it work? Also like,,, idk if we really know if it's Nusume or Musume although the main bulk of it ('usume') seems to be generally agreed upon. Also everyone piling on with her being Russian or Ukrainian. I personally landed on Bulgarian cus... I did. That's it. I know a lot of the headcanons are a character being mixed between two countries but that was because a sole Russian Anya didn't feel right. I decided to look at other eastern countries on a map and Bulgaria sorta stood out to me particularly.

Curly........................ that one came from them saying he was supposed to have a british accent. So... obviously England isn't a crazy thing to get from that. The only issue is that there are around 46 british accents so..... it's like, whatever. But I personally lean (in terms of specifics) a more south east England Curly? That's where accents are fairly weak and it's more of a vocabulatory English-ness over things like accents. Obviously there still are accents, but I think it makes sense. But I put Scottish in there too because I doubt a lot of English people don't have genetic ancestry across the rest of the UK. I personally do, and it's more of a thing on the minor side? English is the predominant profile, but there are parts of other bits in there. Also he is blond. Blond hair is VERY common in the More northern parts of the UK due to things like nordic ancestry.

Uh Swansea. This one is temporary. I can't profile him very well although he screams 'geezer' to me. I went with Wales because he is named both after the animal for symbolic reasons, and also because Swansea is a Welsh town. But I feel like he didn't grow up in Wales and came from the states more than anything due to his vocab and whole blue collar nature. It's so ridiculous to say it again but something screamed European in my face here so I had to throw it in there. It's an even tie between American and Welsh to me, more welsh leaning genetically but American behaviourally. If that makes sense.

Uhhh Jimmy. I got it from the last name and also genetic features. I however do not think it's a grew up in Türkiye situation as he is already determined to have a very strong friendship with Curly, having been copilot for years at this point so I think he would've moved to the UK at some point in mid childhood / early teens and that's where they bonded. This is moreso to make the lack of accent make sense in my head and also the nepotism as you don't bring some guy you've only known for like 2 years along with you to a 13 month shipment in literal space as your copilot if you dont trust him completely. Also migration to England is really not that uncommon and I frankly love it.

So the hacking was worse than we thought BUT I should be in the clear currently with the device as we got rid of all the malware flagged and none has been flagged since. Working on password changes and shit.
