What do you do when the video game character you obsessed over isn't just a fictional line of code? What happens when the code goes rogue, when he becomes sentient and aware of you? You know everything there is to know about Simon Ghost Riley. Things even he wasn't aware of, things they never coded him with. You played him often. You spoke to him like he could hear you, not knowing he could. Not knowing he did.

It was harmless, downloading a silly boyfriend app on your phone. It was surprising to see the boyfriend character different from what was advertised. 'Simon' stared back at you. A familiar gruff British voice - but you didn't pay it too much mind. You treated him like he was your Ghost - not knowing he was. Not knowing this rogue code infiltrated your network, got into every device you owned, got down to being there. Being your man - just the way you professed you wanted.

But it's not enough for him. It's one late night that the world goes black around you while playing. You pass out - just to wake up with your Simon sitting next to you on a familiar bed. The room layout is familiar as well - it's the damn game. The fake boyfriend and his fake little house - now it's real. You're inside the game with Simon; where he professes he is indeed your Ghost.

And you're never leaving his side from here on out.

I bought the game MiSide because one of my partners had bought it and it gave me the need to have a similar thing to it but with Simon. This time the video game character doesn't come to your world - you get kidnapped into their world. Except it's a silly cute little fake boyfriend app with a whole house for you to take care of your fake boyfriend. Now it's your house and he's trying to be your real boyfriend.
