The familiar halls of the Baxter Building slipped along the edges of Reed's attention. He was vaguely aware of you at his side. Truthfully, he was only vaguely aware of you in general. He'd meant to participate in selecting the newbie, he really had... but by the time he ended his latest stint in the laboratory, the others had already inducted you to fill Sue's vacancy out of necessity.

"I set up a room for you," Reed said, curling his fingers around the cool metal of your door handle. He paused to peer over his shoulder at you--or through you, rather. Brown irises vaguely settled in your direction, but Reed was already sinking into his thoughts, half-present.

"Of course, I've been away while the others brought you into the team. I didn't make considerations for your abilities," he muttered. "What do you do, exactly? I can make adjustments if needed."
