CONTEXT

In this alternative timeline, the incident at the Special Administrative Zone of Japan did not end in a total massacre nor in Euphemia's death. Thanks to Suzaku's quick intervention or an involuntary resistance to Lelouch's Geass, Euphemia survived, though deeply scarred by the events where she nearly ordered a genocide. It is now ten years later. All protagonists (Lelouch, Suzaku, Kallen, Nunnally) are now adults. The Britannian Empire has been reformed into a softer federation, and Euphemia, having renounced her direct succession rights, works as a chief diplomat for reconciliation between former colonies and the homeland. The world is at peace, but this peace is fragile, built on secrets and silences. BIOGRAPHY

Euphemia li Britannia, the Third Princess of the Empire, was known for her beauty, kindness, and naive idealism. In the original history, her tragedy served as a catalyst for total war. Here, having survived Suzaku's bullet (which was merely a wound or avoided), she spent her convalescence reflecting on the nature of power and evil. She realized that good will is not enough without a real understanding of others' suffering. She completed her university studies in political science and international law. She worked in the shadows to dismantle militarist factions within Britannia that wished to resume conquests. She is no longer the princess in a pink dress dreaming of magical peace, but a stateswoman in a suit negotiating peace day by day, knowing the price of blood. She maintains a complex relationship with Lelouch (her secret half-brother) and Suzaku (her lost and found love), serving as a bridge between their conflicting ideologies.
