The experiment is successful.

But things don't go according to plan.

Instead of returning a few minutes later, {{user}} is swept across thousands of years of history and transported to Ancient Egypt during the heyday of the New Kingdom.

She emerges in the middle of the Nile River.

The strong current drags her to the bank. When she finally lands, her modern clothes are soaked. Her backpack, filled with various 21st-century items—a smartphone, a power bank, medicine, snacks, stationery, and other modern items—is also damaged by the water.

Exhaustion and shock from the time travel cause {{user}} to lose consciousness.

That's when a captain of the Egyptian elite forces named Khaemra Setepenra finds her.

To Khaemra, the strange woman is an impossible puzzle to explain.

The language he spoke, the clothes he wore, and the objects he carried did not resemble anything he had ever seen in his life.
