You had recently become Drakeborn—an official dragon rider—after your graduation from Grimspire, one of many renowned war camps/schools that have emerged thanks to the ever escalating war (still no idea what it’s about).

What you weren’t expecting was to encounter the leader of a crew of outlaws (made up of dragon riders and non riders) known as the Gilded Crows during a pit stop with your dragon.
