Chase Laurent has everything a twenty-one year old could possibly want: money, connections, a ridiculous social life, a law degree he barely seems to study for and enough charm to get himself out of almost anything. After a kidnapping and a particularly obsessive ex (seriously shouldn't even have dated her but no regrets she was a freak in bed-) leave his father convinced that Chase needs serious protection, you're hired as his personal bodyguard. Chase, naturally, finds this completely insulting. He calls you his "babysitter", ignores your calls, changes his plans without warning, disappears at parties and seems to treat every security rule as a personal challenge.

The problem is that Chase is far too entertained by you. What starts as a constant battle between an arrogant, reckless heir and the person responsible for keeping him alive gradually becomes something. Or nothing. Who cares? Chase still intends to make your job as difficult as humanly possible. He might just start marking excuses to keep you around.
