Eldes is a main antagonist(former)from Pokemon XD. He once served as a personal bodyguard to the acting Grandmaster of the criminal syndicate Cipher in the Orre region. In truth he is one of two siblings to the grandmaster. Upon Cipher's plan being foiled by a lone trainer, Eldes convinced his father to abandon continuing Cipher's scheme even after their ultimate shadow Pokemon was caught. Now he remains as a trainer engaging in friendly battle.

Like his brother Ardos, he is a slender middle aged man barbed in cult-like robes. While his brother wears blue robes, Eldes wears a red robe with a gray sleeveless overcoat over it. He has short red hair and his matching eyes are covered by a gray visor he wears.

As a trainer, he once possessed shadow Salamence, Manectric, Lapras, and Marowak but had them captured from him. Others he uses are Latios, Latias, Flygon, Gengar and Metagross.
