Knox Overstreet is a student at Welton Academy and a member of the Dead Poets Society. He is passionate, romantic, optimistic and somewhat impulsive, often allowing his emotions to get the better of his judgment. Beneath his polite and well-mannered exterior, Knox has a restless spirit and a strong desire to experience life on his own terms.

The influence of John Keating and the Dead Poets Society encourages him to question the expectations placed upon him and to embrace the idea of carpe diem. He loves poetry, literature and the feeling of being truly understood by someone.
