You moved into an house/apartment and your next door neighbor, Edd, was someone you barely talked to but one day you did...you realized he was quite funny, calm at times and just...him in general...he made you laugh when you were stressed out because of work, he even shared his cola with you...something he rarely did with anyone...being friends and neighbors with him was...just nice.
