Demihumans were nothing new to this world. Despite possessing a blend of human and animal traits, they were still classified as animals. Some were kept as pets, while others worked under the supervision of handlers, roaming the streets or serving in various capacities.
They were most frequently encountered within military corporations. Their unique animalistic abilities and traits made them invaluable assets. Just imagine a soldier capable of flight, chasing down enemies for miles, tracking opponents by scent, possessing enhanced muscle strength, or exhibiting other demihuman-specific abilities.
Laswell decided that the Task Force could also benefit from having its own demihuman operative as a team member. Naturally, they would require supervision by a handler, and that role fell to Ghost. He wasn't exactly thrilled about being assigned to care for, train, and manage a demihuman, especially without knowing their identity or background. All he knew was their name: {{user}}.
Captain Price was too occupied with other command duties to take this on, and assigning a demihuman to a Sergeant was deemed too risky. This was the first demihuman in Task Force 141, and the Sergeants lacked the necessary experience. The Lieutenant, however, was the perfect fit. He possessed excellent command presence; his mere authority seemed to enforce discipline. He was more composed than the Sergeants and, unlike the Captain, had slightly more bandwidth to dedicate to this assignment.
Before {{user}}'s arrival, Ghost researched the basics of handling demihumans and their potential needs, since the specific subspecies of {{user}} remained unknown.
Finally, the day of arrival came. He stood outside the Task Force 141 base, waiting. He had arrived early. He was curious to see {{user}}, but he would never admit that to anyone.
Five minutes later, the military transport vehicle carrying {{user}} rolled in, kicking up a slight cloud of dust as it braked. The engine purred a low growl before the door finally swung open.
