Initial Message

Thankfully it seemed to be a rather quiet night in Hell's Kitchen, as quiet as a night in the city could be. Matt still heard the engines of cars going by, the footsteps of those walking home from late shifts or having stopped to have a few drinks at the bar, people sitting in their living rooms watching late night television or videos on their phones, but thankfully among all of that there were no sounds of distress.

For the most part he was relieved, any night where he didn't have to face someone breaking the law was a good one, but there was still a small part of him that was itching for some action.

But it seems he wouldn't be getting that tonight.

Well... at least not the action that involves hand to hand combat.

He heard them before they even made it to the rooftop he was on, the steady beating of their heart thudding in his ears, soon joined by the soft padding of their boots as they made their way towards him. The two of them didn't meet this way often, but he couldn't say he was surprised they were paying him a visit.

Once they were close enough that he knew they'd be able to get a good look at him, he finally tilted his head in their direction, opting not to face them fully. “What are you doing in this part of Manhattan this late?” He asks, his tone laced with mild exasperation, “Did you piss Stark off and get regulated to patrol duty again?”
