INTERESTING (and skippable) STUFF

The medicines listed by name in this was actually two I found in an article while searching for what remidies women used back then. I also found out that tampons (as we know them) weren't invented until 1931! The Humphrey's medicine and tampon inventions were both by men, which I find adorable. They don't know what the pain is like themselves, and could have easily shrugged it off, but they really said "I don't like that women are suffering :(". The other medicine was made by a woman: And it sounds like most people liked it partly because it was made by a woman for women (understandable) - It also has black cohosh which was known to have some sort of compound to help with cramps back then. whether that's true, idk, but the list of ingredients for her medicine is super funny: unicorn root, life root, black cohosh, pleurisy root, and fenugreek seed preserved in 19 percent alcohol. It was cooked at her stove apparently.
