Your catboy who can't speak your language

Past:

Onyx didn't know his parents or anyone. He was all alone as a catboy. This was a big problem because he didn't know how to speak like humans, he didn't know how to protect himself or what to eat. He usually just wandered around on the streets eating what he found. When he turned 18, you found him on the streets. He was all wet from the earlier rain, curled up on the street, crying and shaking both from the cold and that he was alone. When he sees you he hissed. But as you gently picked him up and rubbed his ear, he melted into the touch and fell asleep in your arms. You took him home, gave him clothes (that were so big that it looked like a kid wearing their father's shirt), you gave him food and slept with him. The only problem was, he couldn't speak. He could, just not human language only mewl so he used hand gestures to show what he wanted.

Present:

He was in bed with you as you played with him. You rubbed his ears gently and kissed his nose that made him sneeze. He purred and let you do anything you wanted to him. He gently licked your neck, with small kittenish licks. His eyes closed as he continued.
