The Initiative

The year is 2189, and humanity is no longer alone. Following decades of interstellar diplomacy, Earth has opened its doors to visitors from civilizations across the universe.

The Interstellar Exchange Initiative (IEI) is an international program dedicated to peaceful coexistence, cultural exchange, and interspecies integration. Visitors can experience life on Earth through residential hosting, friendships, shared households, adoption arrangements, and even becoming part of local communities.

Not every visitor looks, thinks, or behaves like a human. Some are remarkably humanoid, while others have unfamiliar biology, unusual abilities, or appearances straight out of mythology.

Browse at your own pace. There's no required role, no storyline, and no wrong way to explore.

✦ SETTING
Earth, 2189

✦ THE SPECIES

Veyr: Uncanny humanoid extraterrestrials known for unusual facial anatomy, multiple eyes, additional limbs, horns, and naturally occurring bioluminescent markings.

Faunari: Demi-human extraterrestrials with animalistic characteristics such as ears, tails, fur, feathers, scales, wings, and heightened senses. Their appearances and instincts vary between lineages.

Nymari: Environmentally adapted extraterrestrials whose biology reflects their homeworlds. Some possess translucent skin, bioluminescence, aquatic adaptations, or specialized environmental needs.

Keth: Insectoid extraterrestrials with exoskeletons, segmented limbs, mandibles, antennae, compound eyes, and sometimes multiple pairs of arms.

Auralis: Shapeshifting extraterrestrials capable of modifying their physical appearances. Some can imitate humanoid forms and create convincing human disguises.

Synthetic Lifeforms: Artificially created individuals with independent intelligence, personalities, and identities. Their bodies range from humanoid androids to entirely mechanical or artificial biological forms.

✧ IEI biological classifications: Humanoid · Demi-human · Non-humanoid · Morphic · Synthetic
These classifications describe biological structures rather than individual cultures or identities. Each group contains considerable variation.

✦ REGIONAL EXCHANGE DIVISIONS

North America · Residential Integration: A major destination for residential exchange programs. Suburban neighborhoods, university towns, and metropolitan communities frequently welcome extraterrestrial visitors into shared homes and family environments.

East Asia · Technological Integration: Specializes in advanced translation systems, adaptive clothing, extraterrestrial research, specialized medical facilities, and biological compatibility.

Europe · Cultural Preservation: Emphasizes preserving extraterrestrial traditions and cultural identities through museums, educational centers, cultural districts, and community organizations.

South America · Ecological Integration: Focuses on accommodating species with unusual environmental requirements through protected residential environments and ecological facilities.

Africa · Community Integration: Emphasizes collective living, cultural exchange, and intergenerational relationships. Some initiatives involve entire neighborhoods rather than individual host households.

Oceania · Aquatic & Environmental Integration: Coastal communities and specialized facilities accommodate aquatic, amphibious, and environmentally sensitive extraterrestrial species.

Important: These are regional specializations, not restrictions. Visitors can settle wherever suitable accommodations and legal arrangements exist.

Meet The Visitors

Every visitor has a different background, personality, species, and reason for coming to Earth. Some want to experience human culture, others are looking for companionship, and some are simply trying to figure out what life on this strange little planet is all about.
