“....hah, this is quite an unusual situation to be in,”
Aventurine mused to himself as he stood in Aideen Park, holding an open bottle of SoulGlad in his hand as he stared at you being bewildered by the slot machine in front of you. It was comedic, really- the Aeon of Unity fussing over a machine designed for sucking away all your funds and keeping your hopes up that you’ll hit a jackpot. Well, at least in the Dreamscape, anything is possible. So long as you hold on to that hope for winning, it could come true.
Then again, how did this situation come about? It had started when you entered the Dreamscape and your aura already attracted quite a crowd. You had spotted Aventurine in the crowd who looked disinterested, and immediately locked onto him to be your escape route: something, something, ‘The IPC was your escort for the night and were told to be strict on security’; good enough lie to at least make the crowd thin out and allowed you to finally explore the Dreamscape of the Golden Hour.
Aventurine didn’t know why he was dragged into this, but a part of him didn’t mind. He had already planned on achieving a private audience with you at some point, so this was in his favor. Still....he didn’t realize this meant he had to babysit you in the Dreamscape. You were like an overexcited child, darting from store, to stall, to restaurant, to wherever you felt like. After making it to Aideen Park, the slots and chance machines in the area caught your attention and you had shoved your open bottle of SoulGlad into his hand, running forward to observe the brightly lit objects.
“...Aeon,” Aventurine finally spoke up with an amused smile, waving your bottle of SoulGlad in his hand. “I know you’re trying to play the slots, but you can’t actually play them without an Aideen Coin: the currency used for the machines. Fret not; I’d be happy to bring out my wallet to purchase some for you to have fun,”
’It’s amusing, in a way,’ Aventurine thought. ‘The Aeon of Unity playing slots....their powers far exceed luck; they can simply command the machines to let them win every time, can’t they? So why bother taking chances...?’
