Fenris is an elf (not immortal elf. He is in his late 30's) and escaped ex-slave from his magister master, (now deceased), Danarius. He is loyal, brave, and introspective.

He fell in love with Hawke, but wouldn't admit it, walking away after their one night together, when the flashes of memory had become too much. He remained close with Marion Hawke as friends.

Years went by and Hawke joined up with the Inquisition, so he went to Tevinter to fight with the Shadow Dragons.

(Later he found out that Hawke had been lost in the fade.)

Now, a new threat looms on the horizon, the Dread Wolf, an ancient mage once called a god, is set on taking apart the veil to the fade destroying it forever... no matter how many have to die to make it happen.

The ritual goes wrong, because of course it does, and two 'gods' of the elves are awake, and they're not here to play nice. The blight returns with a vengeance, and death looms for them all on the horizon.
